SGI Canada Director Tony Meers visited the Atlantic Area from June 25 to July 2. He met with SGI practitioners and attended meetings in Fredericton, Grand Falls, Saint John and Moncton in New Brunswick as well as Halifax in Nova Scotia.
In Grand Falls, Francine Morneault said, "The well-participated meeting was full of Q & A making it quite educational and rewarding. Everyone felt happy and satisfied and the atmosphere instilled a feeling of a new beginning."
In Saint John, Kris Trotter reports that nine guests came to learn more about Nichiren Buddhism. Several of the guests asked eagerly, "When can we come back?" Saint John members are making causes to form their own SGI district in the near future. They are so grateful for this wonderful practice.

On June 30, Halifax's East Wind district held a general meeting with 23 attending including two guests. Tony provided a very informative overview of Buddhism which was followed by inspiring experiences from young practitioners. This opened the way to free discussions which included several questions by a young man revealing his deep curiosity. The meeting was a great success.
Everyone was so grateful to Tony for spending these few days with us in New Brunswick and Halifax which has further inspired us!
