Prairie Region District General Meetings
By Paula Reich, Edmonton
Prairie Region celebrated the founding of the Soka Gakkai throughout November with very high attendance at all of the district general meetings. A lot of effort went into preparing good meetings and inviting many guests.
In the city of Calgary, one of the gatherings was hosted by a person who received the Gohonzon at the meeting. The Gohonzon was then enshrined and the meeting began. This created a lot of excitement. (Above right: Calgary's Woodbine District)
Winnipeg had a record breaking attendance with 109 people attending including 25 guests and seven new practitioners.
In Edmonton, everyone, feeling the spirit of the three founding presidents, were determined to share this practice with others. (Above left: Edmonton's Soaring Spirit District)

There was a meeting in Whitehorse, Yukon, where 11 members and eight guests gathered for an historical beginning for the north of Canada.
In the Prairie Region, the moving experiences we shared left everyone with new determinations for the future.
