SGI Canada Men’s Leader Ian Mattinson visited the practitioners in Saskatoon over the weekend of September 13-15. He had a busy time visiting with individuals, district leaders, a men’s group meeting and a study meeting. Throughout the weekend Ian stressed the importance of reading The New Human Revolution as it contains valuable encouragement that we can use to overcome our personal challenges.

The Saskatoon Men’s Group meeting began with a film from the international youth conference earlier this year in Japan. It highlighted a beautiful, vibrant and high-energy song by SGI Europe and the struggles and victories of SGI Spain. This set the tone for Ian to explain “Expanding Our Friendship” as the theme for the year; how being a good friend without an agenda or strategy is key.

In the pursuit of ultimate happiness, the group felt, it was important to find reasons to encourage one another. Such efforts should go beyond the immediate SGI community and reflect in our routine interactions with everyone.
